Onduparaka beat Kigezi HomeBoyz 3-0 at Greenlight Stadium in Arua to register their eighth victory in the 2023/24 betPawa Big League season.
The Westnile-based side had a perfect evening at home, scoring three goals and keeping a clean-sheet courtesy of Ezra Bida’s brace, Ceasar Okhuti’s strike and Yunus Dafala’s calmness between the sticks.
The Caterpillars scored two first half goals, the first coming in the 26th minute when Bida successfully converted from the spot after Jonathan Mungufeni was brought down in the forbidden area.
After half an hour played at Greenlight Stadium, Okhuti doubled the lead for the hosts. The veteran striker scored in the 33rd minute, assisted by Gasper Adriko.
In the 75th minute, Mungufeni and Bida once again combined to get Onduparaka’s third, with Mungufeni assisting Bida to complete his brace.
That was all Onduparaka needed to hold on for a very important victory in the very competitive Big League competition.
