Onduparaka collected three vital points on the road from their spine-chilling and fruitful away trip to Young Elephants for their second away victory in the 2023/24 FUFA Big League season.

Onduparaka’s first taste of victory away from home this campaign was back in March, in a 3-0 win away to Kyetume in Mukono.

Their second just came on Sunday when they visited the newly promoted Big League side in Nwoya, at Anaka P/S Play ground and beat them 2-1 to hit the road back to Arua with all three points.

Ezra Bida (in the 39th minute) and Brian Ade (in the 71st minute) scored for the Caterpillars to complete their double against Young Elephants who also scored one goal in the 40th minute on Sunday.

In the reverse fixture, Onduparaka won with the same 2-1 scoreline, but they first needed coach-player Ceasar Okhuti to come off the bench in the second half to score a brace (in the 47th and 74th minutes of the game) to deem Jimmy Oola’s 14th minute strike harmless in their search for three points.

The Caterpillars now move to eighth position, with 29 points from 20 games, comprising of nine wins, two draws and nine loses.

Onduparaka’s next task is a home affair against Jinja North next Sunday, April 14, 2024.
