The UPDF Air Force Deputy Commander Brig. Gen Stephen Kiggundu has been found dead in the bathroom while taking a bath.
UPDF spokesperson Brig.Gen.Felix Kulaigye said Brig. Gen Stephen Kigundu died at his home in Entebbe overnight. Kulaigye said the UPDF has lost a soldier who was outstanding in his service, and left them with a huge legacy, but they thanked God for the life he gave him.
Bring Gen Stephen Kigundu was one of the first soldiers to fly in the air and had an extensive experience.
The soldier headed the UPDF Soroti Air Force Air Academy, and was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General in 2022.
In 2020, the UPDF also lost another officer at the rank of Brig.Gen. Victor Twesigye who also slipped and fell in the bathroom.
