Bright Anukani In Talks To Return To KCCA

Uganda Premier League side KCCA FC have agreed personal terms with Vipers SC midfielder Bright Anukani, who is out of contract.

The Sports Nation can confirm that the deal is on the verge of completion, pending a few formalities.

Anukani joined Vipers in 2021 on a three-year contract, which is now expiring.

As a result, KCCA FC have moved swiftly to re-acquire the talented midfielder, who previously played for them on a one-year loan from Proline FC in 2019.

SportsNation understands that Anukani and KCCA FC have already held promising meetings, indicating an imminent move.

Lthough Anukani was scheduled for a medical alongside new signings Shafiq Kwikiriza and Hudu Mulikyi on Monday morning, he was not present for the examinations.

Anukani, who found himself surplus to requirements at Vipers towards the end of the 2023/24 season, is seeking more playing time, prompting his camp to look for new opportunities. If the transfer materializes, it will mark Anukani’s second stint with the Kasasiro Boys.

KCCA FC have been active in the transfer market, having already secured the services of Shafiq Kwikiriza, Hudu Mulikyi, Steven Munguchi, and forward Emmanuel Anyama.

These new additions come as KCCA FC look to improve upon their fourth-place finish in the previous Uganda Premier League season, where they amassed 49 points.
