Court had ordered this exercise to be conducted today in Kalungu, however before commencement, it was established that, five ballot boxes were found with broken seals, two were unmarked, and one had no seal. Meanwhile the remaining 90 boxes were still intact.

Ismail Ssemakula petitioned Court challenging the declaration of results in which Ssewungu was announced the winner with a slim margin of 46 votes and on this, the applicant blamed the Returning officer and Presiding officers officers at various polling stations for ignoring arithmetical errors which favored Ssewungu.
