Mubende Magistrates Court Dismisses Vote Recount Petition Against NUP’s Oshabe

In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Norbert Ssajjabi ruled that petitioner, Isaac Kamulegeya, the NRM flag bearer failed to provide sufficient evidence to warrant a recount, this creating relief among Oshabe (MP Kasanda North )and his supporters.

In the recently concluded Parliamentary elections held last week, Oshabe was declared a winner after securing 12,274 votes, narrowly edging Kamulegeya who polled 12,158 votes with la thin margin of 116 votes.
