The Fire Prevention and Rescue Services swiftly responded to a fire outbreak at Cafe Bravo Restaurant, situated at Uganda House on Kampala Road, early Friday morning, as stated by Luke Owoyesigyire, the KMP spokesperson.
Owoyesigyire mentioned that the fire, suspected to have started around 5 am, quickly engulfed the restaurant premises causing significant damage to the premises.
“Our team from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Services arrived promptly and managed to contain the fire before it could spread further. Nevertheless, significant damage to the property occurred,” he noted.
Investigations into the cause of the fire outbreak are underway, with investigators actively collecting evidence at the scene to determine the root cause.
Thankfully, Police confirmed that there were no reported injuries or fatalities resulting from the incident and further noted that additional updates will be provided as soon as more information becomes available.
