Fortebet Real Stars Sports Monthly Awards have once again highlighted the outstanding performances across various sports disciplines, showcasing the talent and dedication of athletes in the month of February.

The awarding ceremony was held on Tuesday at Lazio Restaurant, with sponsors representative from Fortebet and Jude Colour Solutions present.

Kitara forward Denis Omedi was named best Footballer, beating fellow nominees Shaban Muhammad (KCCA) and Joseph Dhata (NEC).

Omedi’s remarkable performance saw him score six goals in five games, both in the league and the Uganda Cup. His contributions were instrumental in guiding Kitara to the top of the Uganda Premier League standings with an impressive 39 points.

Joseph Dhata also exhibited a commendable display with six goals in five games across both competitions, while Muhammad Shaban showcased his prowess with four goals in five games.

In the Rugby category, Emily Lekuru beat Ivan Kirabo, and Syrus Watum to the gong, with the winger’s remarkable feat included scoring a total of 90 points for her team, Black Pearls, throughout the month. Her stellar performance played a pivotal role in keeping Black Pearls unbeaten and positioned them at the top of the league standings with 25 points.

Turning to Kabaddi, the nominees comprised Annet Kirembe, Rose Nankumba, and Douglas Mulalira, the latter merging the winner.

Mulalira secured the title of the Best Rider in the Uganda Kabaddi Champion’s League. His exceptional performance saw him amass 127 Rides Points and lead his team, Superior Kabaddi Club, to clinch the championship with 26 tackles. His outstanding contributions earned him the prestigious title of tournament MVP in the Men’s Category.

In the Rally category, the nominees included Jas Mangat, Hassan Alwi, and Jonas Kansiime. The ultimate winner was Jas Mangat, the leader of the Piri Piri team, alongside his co-driver Enock Olinga.

Mangat’s remarkable victory came in the form of clinching the Mbarara Rally championship.

The duo completed the rally in a commanding fashion, covering the distance in 1 hour, 10 minutes, and 23 seconds, with a significant lead of 9 minutes and 57 seconds.
