Peace Kabasweka showcased exceptional skill and composure as she secured victory in the 14th edition of the Entebbe Ladies Open, held at the picturesque par 71 Lake side course in Entebbe, Uganda. With a display of consistent performance, she finished the tournament with a total score of 230 gross, clinching her second Ladies Open title at East Africa’s Oldest Club.
The Toro Club lady captain demonstrated her prowess with rounds of 74, 83, and 73, finishing two strokes ahead of her nearest competitor, Melon Kyomugisha, who secured the runner-up position with a gross score of 232. Despite the close competition throughout the tournament, Kabasweka maintained her confidence, describing her victory as “easy” and expressing enjoyment of her time on the course over the three days of competition.
The Entebbe Ladies Open attracted a significant turnout of 206 golfers, including both Ladies and Men participants, with representation from Kenya and Rwanda adding to the event’s diversity and competitiveness.
The final leaderboard reflected Kabasweka’s dominance, with her securing the overall victory. The results also highlighted notable performances from other participants, including Melon Kyomugisha as the runner-up and Harriet Kitaka as the second runner-up.

Additionally, Janet Kabayonga emerged as the winner in the nett category, showcasing impressive skill and precision throughout the tournament. Resty Nalutaaya and Edrae Kagombe secured the runner-up and second runner-up positions, respectively, in the nett category.
The tournament also recognized outstanding performances across various categories, including the seniors and bronze divisions, with winners and runners-up celebrated for their achievements on the course.
Among the men participants, Cosmos Ociti emerged as the gross champion, with a commendable display of talent and determination. Eliton Thembo and Emmanuel Moko secured the runner-up and second runner-up positions, respectively, showcasing the competitive nature of the event.
