Brenda Kayaga delivered a standout performance on Friday, scoring a game-high 30 points to lead JT Lady Jaguars to a narrow victory over the KCCA Leopards.
The final score reflected the competitive nature of the match, but it was Kayaga’s shooting prowess that made the difference.
Kayaga was efficient from the field, making 10 of her 20 attempts. Her scoring was complemented by Sarah Ageno, who achieved a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
This dynamic duo was instrumental in securing the Jaguars’ 11th win of the season.
Despite strong contributions from Susan Becca Aanyu and Perus Nyamwenge, who scored 18 and 12 points respectively, the KCCA Leopards fell short.
The Leopards struggled in the first quarter, trailing 15-22, and were unable to fully recover despite a valiant effort.
Rebounding was evenly matched, with both teams securing 50 boards each. However, the early deficit proved costly for the Leopards, marking their fourth defeat in 16 games this season.
