Kid Cudi graced the 75th annual Creative Arts EMMYs this week, turning the prestigious event into a family affair with his mom and sister as his charming dates. The ceremony, held on Sunday (January 7), precedes the primetime EMMYs, where Cudi is nominated for his first-ever Emmy in the Best Animated Program category for his Netflix special “Entergalactic.”

The Cleveland native, also known as Scott Mescudi, took the stage to present the award for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special. The accolade ultimately went to Lyle Gamm for “Stanley Tucci: Searching For Italy.” Sharing the delightful family moment on Twitter/X the next morning, Cudi wrote, “My dates for last night. My mom and my sister looked STUNNING. Suit designed by me, for MOTR FW24, debuting in a couple of weeks.”

On the same evening, JAY-Z secured his third Emmy Award for his contribution to Rihanna‘s Super Bowl halftime show. Alongside co-director Hamish Hamilton, JAY-Z received the award for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special for their collaboration on the February 2023 performance. Hamilton, known for directing the Super Bowl halftime show since 2010, has an impressive resume, including the Academy Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, and the Summer Olympics.

Kid Cudi’s big night at the Primetime EMMYs is approaching, with the release of his new album, “INSANO,” set for Friday (January 12). The 21-track album features collaborations with heavyweights such as Lil Wayne, Travis Scott, Young Thug, A$AP Rocky, and the late XXXTENTACION. Additionally, Pharrell, Lil Yachty, and DJ Drama make guest appearances on the album.

“INSANO” marks Kid Cudi’s ninth studio album and follows his 2022 release, “Entergalactic,” accompanied by an animated Netflix special of the same name. Fans have already enjoyed previews of the album through singles like “At the Party,” featuring Travis Scott and Pharrell, and “Porsche Topless.” Notably, the album includes a tribute track titled “Most Ain’t Dennis,” dedicated to his longtime manager Dennis Cummings. While the deluxe edition may feature the anticipated track “ILL WHAT I BLEED,” the main release promises a diverse and star-studded musical experience from the talented artist.
