Preview: Kitara Host BUL in Early Title Decider
Kitara, the league leaders, are set to host second-placed BUL FC in a crucial Uganda Premier League match in Masindi.
With Kitara holding a four-point lead, a victory would extend their advantage to seven points, strengthening their title aspirations.
Few could have predicted at the start of the season that this fixture would have such significance in the title race.
However, a win against BUL would reaffirm Kitara’s championship credentials, especially considering that their rival, Vipers, will also have to face them in Masindi.
BUL, on the other hand, must secure a win to narrow the gap to just one point.
BUL have struggled in this second part of the season, registering only one victory so far in 2024.
Kitara enters the match following a convincing 3-0 triumph over URA in Masindi.
BUL on the other hand, have lost two in a row, both at home against UPDF and SC Villa.
BUL won the first round fixture 2-1 thanks to Alex Kitata’s first half brace while Denis Omedi’s 80th minute strike was not enough against a side that finished a man down following Ibrahim Kazindula’s 75th minute red card.
