KIU Titans seek to make amends as they face off against JT Jaguars in what promises to be a riveting showdown in the National Basketball League at Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The Titans find themselves in a precarious position following a shocking 61-67 defeat against KCCA Panthers last Sunday at Lugogo.

This setback marked their third loss of the season, having previously fallen to their fierce rivals City Oilers, and the Nam Blazers.

In their clash against KCCA, which was rescheduled due to rain interrupting play in the first quarter the previous day at YMCA, KIU managed to level the game 49-49 after the third quarter.

However, their hopes were dashed as KCCA dominated the final quarter with an 18-12 run, clinching the victory.

Notably, KIU struggled from beyond the arc, missing 24 of their 26 three-point attempts, adding to their woes.

Adding to their challenges, key player Kasereka Tembo, battling an injured shoulder, could only muster three points, compounding the Titans’ misery.

Despite commendable efforts from Joel Lukoji, Edgar Munaaba, and Juf Mpiya, who scored in double digits with 15, 13, and 12 points respectively, victory eluded the Titans.

The JT Jaguars, led by coach Sudi Ulanga, who have secured five wins out of nine games this season, will be seeking to rub more salt in Titans wounds.
