Minister Azuba to be Granted State Burrial

Kampala– The Minister for Presidency Hon. Milly Babalanda has announced that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has okayed official Burrial of former Minister for Works Hon. Monica Ntege Azuba.

” Accordingly, N.O.C is meeting with the family of the deceased to organise a befitting sendoff. Condolences to the family, friends, people of Busoga and Ugandans at large. May Hon. Monica Azuba’s soul rest in eternal peace!.” Reads the announcement

Hon Monica Ntege Azuba passed on aged 72

During her time in office (2016-2019), she supervised major transport infrastructure programs, including the Isimba Dam project.

Azuba is remembered for her firm stance on public accountability like in 2018 when she boldly announced an investigation into senior Ministry officials.

According to Ambassador Moses Kizige, during the last ten years, when she was diagnosed with cancer, she lost her mother, her brother, and also her husband in 2025
