Authorities in In Nakaseke District have initiated a probe into the suspected abduction of two young girls from Kirangazi village, located in Ngoma Sub-County. The missing juveniles have been identified as Phionah Tusingwire, aged 4, and Patience Tarindeka, aged 5, both enrolled as pupils at Apex Model Primary School within the district.
The incident unfolded when the girls failed to return home after attending school on a Friday morning. They were entrusted to a houseboy, identified only as Sande, who was responsible for escorting them to school. Sande was reportedly seen riding a motorcycle bearing the registration number UBF 009B, a Bajaj Boxer model.
According to Sam Twiineamazima, the spokesperson for the Savannah Regional Police, the girls’ absence was noted by their families when they did not return home at the usual time after school hours. Moreover, Sande, the entrusted houseboy, was nowhere to be found, raising suspicions about the circumstances surrounding the girls’ disappearance.
Scovia Kayesu, the mother of the missing children, expressed her distress over the situation, stating that all efforts to locate her daughters have been met with frustration. Twiineamazima confirmed that the concerned mother promptly reported the incident to the authorities at Kirangazi Police Station, prompting swift action to commence investigations.
