Nam Blazers showcased their dominance with an impressive 82-53 victory over Livingstone in the National Basketball League match at the Lugogo Indoor Arena on Sunday.

The Blazers, riding high on confidence after a previous win against City Oilers n Friday, lived up to expectations as they controlled the game from the outset.

They set the tone early, establishing a commanding lead of 19-8 in the first quarter and maintaining their momentum throughout the match.

A key factor in the Blazers’ triumph was their formidable bench, which delivered an impressive 52 points, just one shy of Livingstone’s total team score.

Elly Okello and Guddi Nasser led the charge with 16 and 12 points respectively, while Chuol Nyuot contributed 11 points, showcasing the depth of talent at Coach Stephen ‘Esco’ Nyeko’s disposal.

Despite a valiant effort from Livingstone, with Bismarck Okot and Oscar Byamuhangi scoring 10 points each, they struggled to keep pace with the Blazers’ relentless attack.

This defeat marks Livingstone’s fourth loss in six games, highlighting the challenges faced by the newcomers in adapting to the intensity of the top-flight competition.

For the Nam Blazers, this victory marks their sixth win in seven games, reaffirming their status as contenders in the National Basketball League. With only one loss so far, against Our Saviour, the Blazers are poised to continue their impressive run as they eye further success in the league.

As Livingstone looks to bounce back from this setback, they will undoubtedly draw lessons from their encounters with established teams like the Nam Blazers, as they strive to make their mark in the competitive arena of the National Basketball League.
