Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s Film “The Yellow Boy” Wins Best TV And Web Series in Florida

Renowned Ugandan gospel singer and City Pastor,Wilson Bugembe’s film ” The Yellow Boy” over the weekend won the prestigious award for “Best TV and web series” at the Nieves International Christian Film Festival which took place at 324 Nicholas Parkway West suite, Cape Coral in Florida.

The Nieves International Christian Film stands as a beacon of Support for Filmmakers, providing a unique platform for their artistic endeavors.

It draw filmmakers from more than 60 countries, with over 450 Film submission a cross various categories from over 70 countries.

The documentary was first recognized as the best African documentary in 2023 at The MZIAIF international Christian Film Awards which were held at The King’s Palace Auditorium in Katy, Texas .

A documentary ,filmed in 2020 in Uganda, portrays the the inspirational life Journey of Pastor Wilson Bugembe.

The Yellow Boy is part of the Worship Factor documentary series, a collection that celebrates the cultural diversity of church musicians and worship leaders from around the world.

Bugembe’s episode in the series explores his remarkable journey as a celebrated gospel artist from Uganda and leader of Worship House Church in Nansana.

Pastor Wilson Bugembe’s documentary wins Award for Best TV & Web Series at International Christian Film Festival

As an orphan who lost his parents to HIV, Bugembe found himself surviving on the streets of Kampala, earning him the nickname “yellow” due to the color of his shirt.

For over three years, he relied on discarded food and sought shelter under a tree. However, his life underwent a miraculous transformation and today, he is celebrated as a prominent figure in his country and actively engages in various charitable works, inspiring others with his story of resilience and hope.
