Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | Police has arrested 7 suspects, including hospitalized Noah Lujja who was and Milly Naluwenda of Kisekwa Court, for being part of the suspects, behind the violent murder by shooting of businessman and Ndiga clan leader Eng. Daniel Bbosa February 25.
In a statement, Police said the 5 other suspects, (names withheld) pending legal guidance from the DPP, participated, in the murder plot, that targeted and eliminated the victim. They are all linked to Serunkuuma Enock and Lujja Noah who road the boda boda invoved in the shooting.
Both Sserunkuuma and Luggya are from the Ndiga clan. The duo allegedly together with another suspect still at large attacked and shot dead Bbosa dead inside his car near his home in Lungujja parish, Rubaga division, Kampala on Sunday. They tried to get away on a motorcycle but they were pursued by residents who lynched Sserunkuuma while Luggya survived and was rushed to hospital.
“A full account of the preparation meetings, planning, acquisition of killer weapon, hiring of killers and execution of the murder will be availed in due course. We pledge to the family and all loved ones, that the wanted suspects who are on the run, are known, and the pursuit for all those responsible for the violent murder, remains active and ongoing,” police said in a statement.
Meanwhile, cabinet sitting at Entebbe Monday has awarded Abdul Katabaazi, a boda boda rider, the Nalubaale Medal for his courageous act after the murder of the Ndiga clan leader.
At great personal risk, he pursued and intercepted the murderers responsible for the tragic death of Eng. Daniel Bbosa, leader of Buganda Kingdom’s Ndiga Clan.
