•Dmark Power Vs Kampala Rockets – 9pm

D-mark Power and Kampala Rockets will be aiming to secure their second victories of the season as they face off in the National Basketball League on Wednesday at YMCA court in Wandegeya.

Despite a slow start to their campaign, Power’s recent victory against JKL Dolphins provides hope that they are ready to turn the tide in their favor.

Having faced defeats against City Oilers and UCU Canons earlier in the season, Power managed to secure a crucial win against JKL Dolphins in their last outing.

The club added Brian Namake as Assistant to head coach Timothy Odeke which injected new energy into the team, although they have grappled with a shortage of players this season.

With just nine players used in their roster, including veteran Isaac Afidra, Power has relied on the contributions of key players like Philip Ameny who has already shown signs of weariness

However, Samad Imran has been a standout performer for Power, averaging an impressive 18 points and 14 rebounds per game, while Elvis Mutebi and Elvis Ssentongo have also been consistent contributors, averaging double digits in scoring.

The rest of Power’s lineup, including Lemaniku Reagan, Yat Riem Ruot, Elvis Mpeti, and Christopher Adoge, have barely stepped up.

On the other hand, Kampala Rockets, despite securing a win against JKL Dolphins, have struggled with consistency, suffering six defeats so far.

With tough fixtures against JT Jaguars and City Oilers looming after their clash with Power, Kampala Rockets will be eager to win on Wednesday.

Notably, Pauti Ozias Kikomba who is averaging a double double of 13 points and as many rebounds, and Francis ‘Odom’ Kasinde will face their former team, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the matchup.
