Kampala, Uganda | THE INDEPENDENT | In the changes released to the media on Thursday by Col. Deo Akiiki, the deputy UPDF Spokesperson, Col. Allan Matsiko who had been director of intelligence in SFC was assigned to superintend 303 Brigade. Col Matsiko was in charge of SFC intelligence for 16 months.
Colonel Asinguza Muserebende who had been the director of SFC’s training was appointed commander of Special Forces Group (1SFG) One.
The President has also promoted Lieutenant Colonel Bagonza to full Colonel and appointed him commander of Special Forces Group Two (2SFG).
“The Commander in Chief also appointed Col. Seruyange as Director under Special Forces Command,” said Col. Akiiki.
Col. Sseruyange last year became a military attaché for Uganda to Saudi Arabia. Col. Sseruyange replaced Maj. Gen Michael Ondoga who was serving as UPDF attaché to Saudi Arabia.
Lt. Col Kafeero has remained as Deputy Director of Intelligence in SFC. Minister for Defence Vincent Ssempijja has congratulated the senior officers upon their well-deserved promotions, transfers and appointments.
SFC is an army unit that protects President Museveni, his family members, key government installations and other government officials.
