Private Security Guard Shoots 22yr-Old-Man Dead for Trespassing in Banana Plantation

The Police in Rukungiri distric have arrested a private security guard who allegedly shot dead a 22-year-old man for trespass.

The suspect Nicholas Ainembabazi attached to Millennium security company shot and killed the deceased who had gone to visit his uncle Bitomwe Charles, as he crossed through a banana plantation which he was guarding as he was going to his grandmother’s home.

It is alleged that on his way, he got confused with the path and ended in the banana plantation near the compound of Kazaire Julius in Rugoma Kebisoni town council, that is being guarded.

According to Elly Maate Kigezi, the region police spokesman, the security guard stopped and ordered the deceased to sit down, he instead remained standing, which prompted the guard to shoot directly at him and died instantly.

Maate says Ainembabazi has been charged with murder and soon he will be presented before the court.
