The Special Forces Command(SFC) has refuted claims  that one of their soldiers had shot and killed a National Unity Platform supporter in Kampala.

An NUP supporter on Saturday evening posted on X claiming that one of their colleagues had been shot dead at Bwaise roundabout by an SFC soldier who was traveling on a police pickup.

They posted a photo of an SFC soldier whom they accused of having killed their colleague.

However, the  SFC public information officer, Maj Jimmy Omara said the tweet being circulated by one Motive Kasagga is fake and deserves to be taken with contempt.

“No such an incident was not recorded anywhere our troops operated. This is to warn the propagators of this falsehood to stop forthwith, otherwise, your continuous false allegations against the institution of SFC shall be met with the full force of the law,” Maj Omara said.

The NUP supporter who posted the same on X claimed it had happened at Bwaise roundabout where the party president, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine passed as he returned from Kiboga where he attended the memorial service for Ritah  Nabukenya, an NUP supporter who was knocked dead by a vehicle in 2020.

However, Kyagulanyi has not posted anything about the said incident.

The SFC spokesperson however, said despite the claims, the Special Forces Command will not be distracted from doing  its work .
