The Secretary-General of NRM, Rt. Hon. Richard Todwong, announced the successful conclusion of the recent party membership register update nationwide.
The 5-day exercise, spanning from Wednesday, 13th, to Sunday, 17th, covered all 72,000 villages/branches.
“I have overseen the display and updating of our membership register, and I am pleased to confirm its peaceful completion, albeit with minor concerns,” Todwong stated.
Todwong also disclosed that the updated ‘Yellow Books’ would undergo comprehensive review at zonal centers before integration into the digital database.
Addressing areas with low turnout, Todwong affirmed, “The party leadership will assess the process and provide necessary guidance.”
Regarding students, Mr. Todwong assured those in school of another registration opportunity during holidays before “internal election preparations begin.”
He extended gratitude to NRM members and the public for their engagement, affirming, “This underscores NRM’s enduring popularity.”
The NRM National Chairman and President, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, inaugurated the register update on February 28, 2024.
The NRM (National Resistance Movement) party register likely contains information about its members, including their names, contact details, and possibly their roles within the party. This register is essential for party organization, communication, and decision-making processes.
