Uganda Cranes showed resilience by twice coming from behind to hold Ghana Black Stars to a 2-2 draw in a thrilling international friendly match held at the Stade De Marrakech in Morocco.

The game saw an early lead for Ghana when Jerome Opoku headed in from Andre Ayew’s corner just seven minutes into the match.

However, Uganda responded with Steven Mukwala converting a penalty in the 22nd minute after Rogers Mato was fouled in the box by Ebenezer Annan.

Ghana regained their lead shortly after through Andre Ayew, who capitalized on a penalty after Mukwala was adjudged to have fouled Denis Odoi.

Despite the setback, Uganda showed their fighting spirit once again, with Shaban Muhammad leveling the score by bundling in a rebound from point-blank range after Fahad Bayo’s header hit the crossbar.

Ghana’s Muhammad Salisu was sent off for a second yellow in added time, diminishing Ghana’s late chance for a winning goal.

The performance marked a significant improvement for Uganda Cranes, especially after their disappointing 4-0 defeat against Comoros last Friday.

Under the guidance of coach Paul Put, the team displayed determination and resilience, earning praise for their spirited comeback against a strong Ghanaian side.
