•Police Vs NEC
•Pajule Lions Vs Pakwach Young Stars

In a highly anticipated draw for the Stanbic Uganda Cup quarterfinals, Kitara and Vipers have found themselves pitted against each other once more, renewing their intense rivalry.

The draw also features an all-Uganda Premier League showdown between BUL and KCCA, while Big League side Police, who reached last year’s final, will host NEC.

Additionally, regional league sides Pajule Lions and Pakwach Young Stars are set to face off in what promises to be an exciting clash.

Scheduled to take place between April 10-14, the matches will offer fans thrilling action with extra time and penalties if necessary to determine the winners.

For Kitara, the upcoming match against Vipers holds extra significance as they seek revenge for a controversial decision in their previous encounter.

In their first-round league clash, Kitara had a crucial goal disallowed in added time due to an incorrect offside call by assistant referee Juma Osire.

Despite video evidence proving otherwise, the goal was denied, costing Kitara valuable points in a 2-1 loss to Vipers.

Following the incident, Osire faced repercussions, receiving a six-month suspension from FUFA.

Both teams are also contenders for the league title, with Kitara currently leading Vipers by six points, albeit having played two more games than Vipers. The outcome of their cup clash could significantly impact their chances of achieving a double this season.

Adding to the stakes, Vipers will have to face Kitara again in the league’s second round, setting the stage for a series of intense battles between the two sides.
