Uganda Hippos Final Squad Announced for African Games in Ghana

Coach Morley Byekwaso has finalized the Uganda Hippos squad for the upcoming African Games set to take place in Accra, Ghana.

The squad, which recently competed in the Dire Cup in Ethiopia, sees the addition of three new players.

Midfielders Saidi Mayanja from KCCA FC, George Isiagi from Brook House College, and Maroons forward Darious Ojok have been included in the squad, bolstering the team’s midfield and attacking options.

The announcement was confirmed by FUFA, with the team scheduled to depart on Monday morning via Ethiopian Airlines for the tournament, which will run from March 7th to 23rd, 2024.

Uganda finds itself placed in Group B alongside South Sudan, Senegal, and Nigeria after Tunisia withdrew from the competition.
