JKL Lady Dolphins are set to put their unbeaten streak on the line as they clash with the formidable KCCA Leopards in the National Basketball League on Friday at Lugogo.

With six wins from as many games under their belt this season, the Lady Dolphins are gearing up for their toughest challenge yet against the league leaders, KCCA.

Despite a shock defeat against Miracle Ravens, KCCA has shown their prowess with nine victories and only one loss this season.

The team’s strong performance is attributed to their successful transfer window signings, including Margaret Baagala, Perus Nyamwenge, Uwineza Ninnette, and Maureen Amoding, who have seamlessly integrated into the squad under the guidance of mew coach Roger Serunyigo.

Supported by seasoned players like Sylvia Nakazibwe, Martha Soigi, and Susan Becca Aanyu, KCCA has emerged as a genuine title contender in the league.

As they gear up for their last game of the first round, KCCA aims to solidify their position as top contenders for the championship.

Meanwhile, JKL Lady Dolphins maintained their winning momentum from last season, retaining a core group of players who clinched the title.

Spearheaded by last year’s MVP, Hope Akello, the team has been unstoppable, with Brenda Ekone and Rita Imanishimwe consistently contributing double-digit scores.

Additionally, the rebounding prowess of Becky Longom and the ever green Flavia Oketcho add depth to the squad’s roster.

As JKL looks ahead to challenging fixtures against KIU Rangers and JT Lady Jaguars, their clash with KCCA stands out as a pivotal moment in this first round on paper.
