Bugerere United FC Defeat Wobulenzi United To Register Campaign’s First Win

Bugerere United Football Club/Uganda Sports Arena FC lifted themselves off the bottom of the table of the 3rd Division of the 2025/26 Buganda Regional League with a well-deserved and hard fought 2-1 victory over Wobulenzi United FC at the Ntenjeru Ssaza Ground on Sunday 26th, October 2025.

Bugerere United FC headed into the fixture aiming for maximum points after trailing to Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) on day one of the League by 2-0.

Coach Yawe Lutalo Ibrahim strategy worked out well, as by the end of the first half, the hosts were a goal ahead by 1-0 thanks to a goal from new signing Ismael Kayondo.

At the start of the second half, coach Yawe introduced an attack minded youngster, Fahad Sseremba, replacing Alfred Kasibante, who went ahead to score two (2) minutes on field to double the lead for the Kayunga based side.

The visitors, Wobulenzi United, pulled one behind from the penalty spot by Denis Wadibire after Emmanuel Labson Mugerwa was brought down in the forbidden area though their goal was not enough to secure a point for the visitors 

A win lifts Bugerere United FC out of the relegation zone to the 9th position with three (3) points from the games played.

In the next game, Bugerere United FC will pay a visit to Buikwe Redstars on Sunday, 2nd, at Buikwe Stadium.

Elsewhere, other Kayunga based side Synergy was handed a second defeat of the season after falling 0-1 to Kajjansi United FC at Ndeeba Church of Uganda Playground.
