*Busoga United 1-1 Gaddafi
*URA 2-0 Maroons
*Vipers 1-1 Bright Stars
Vipers faced another setback in their title chase as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Bright Stars in a gripping league encounter at St Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The Venoms initially took the lead in the 31st minute through Eric Kambale, who capitalized on a defensive scramble to slot home from close range.
However, their advantage was erased in the second half as Bright Stars’ Shafik Kakande swiftly responded, tapping in Denis Omony Kaka’s precise cross to level the scoreline.
Vipers earlier had attempts to double their lead, with Milton Karisa and Yunus Sentamu squandering promising chances.
Bright Stars appeared unfazed and maintained a strong presence on the pitch. Their composed play and attacking threats, including a missed goalkeeper-to-beat opportunity by Nelson Ssenkatuka, showcased their determination to leave Kitende with a positive result.
The draw marks another disappointing result for Vipers in the league, following their previous 0-0 stalemate against Gaddafi at home.
With this result, Vipers find themselves trailing leaders Kitara by seven points, with Kitara having played two more games.
