Preview: Vipers Seek To Narrow Gap
Vipers will aim to narrow the gap at the top as they host UPDF FC in a league game under the Kitende floodlights.
Despite sitting fifth on the table, the Venoms are strong contenders to retain their title this season.
With 38 points, they trail leaders Kitara by six points, albeit having played three games fewer.
After Kitara and SC Villa dropped points on Thursday, Vipers look to seize the opportunity.
However, they still have some internal issues of their own, notably the absence of head coach Livingston Mbabazi who also missed the previous game against URA.
UPDF on the other hand, are currently in the relegation zone, two points adrift of the drop.
Despite back-to-back wins against BUL and Busoga United, facing title-chasing Vipers in Kitende is a bigger challenge.
