Jimmy Williams delivered a stellar performance, scoring a game-high 20 points to lead the Nam Blazers to a convincing 70-53 victory over Our Saviour in the National Basketball League.
This marked Williams’ second game of the season, following his impressive 22-point debut against UCU Canons on Friday.
The Blazers faced an early challenge, trailing 21-16 at the end of the first quarter. However, they managed to overturn the deficit by halftime, securing a three-point lead, and maintained their momentum to seal their 15th win in 18 games this season.
Michael Makiadi also contributed significantly to the Blazers’ triumph, achieving a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. His all-around performance was instrumental in keeping the Blazers ahead in the second half.
Despite the efforts of Pol Mas and Henry Ssebagala, who scored 18 and 14 points respectively for Our Saviour, their contributions were not enough to turn the tide.
This defeat marks Our Saviour’s 10th loss in 18 games, underscoring the team’s struggles this season.
