Mbarara archdiocese Archbishop his grace Lamabart Bainamigisha has offered blessed sacrament[The EUCARIST] to Christ the king catholic church located in the heart of Bushenyi town.
The function that began at 10:00am commenced with installation of blessed sacrament by the archbishop later to prayers led by the same man of God at mayor’s gardens next to the church.
While preaching, the Archbishop asked the Christians and other believers to have hope always which will definitely lead them to success.
His grace Lambart also called upon believers to love and respect God because he is paramount.
He hailed the late Petero Kanyampaka and Yowana Ishanga for pioneering catholism in greater Bushenyi by starting st Kaggwa parish which has now given birth to Christ the king catholic center in the middle of Bushenyi town.
The chairman of the catholic center, Rtd Assistsant commissioner at Bushenyi local government, Mr. David Byamukama revealed that their center that received Eucarist sacrament today OCT 5, 2025, started from scratch in 1983.Christians used to pray from public halls but now they have a fully-fledged church.
He hailed Mr. George Betiina who offered his plot next to the church and immediately handed over the title to the church to expand and start projects.
The retired greater Bushenyi district chairman Longino Ndyanabo also offered his house to the church for five years to host center leaders.
In his Speech, MD National water and Sewerage Corporation and one of the leaders of Archdiocese of Mbarara foundation have already raised 3 billion to start construction of modern commercial building in Mbarara city.

Finally he called upon the people of Bushenyi district and Uganda in general to vote for leaders that can add value to their communities.
Hon. Annet Katusiime Mugisha Bushenyi district woman MP and ruling party flag bearer kindly requested the voters of Bushenyi district to give a second term in parliament. She noted that after getting a second term, she will even serve them more than this term.
The family of the late Petero Ishanga organized lunch at their late parents’ home in Middle of Bushenyi town and all the invited guests led by the Archbishop enjoyed from there till late.
Among the guests who attended prayers and dinner are; Brig. Gen. Kenneth Muhiire, Paul Kahiigi, Odo Tayebwa, PK Kamugisha HM St. kaggwa Bushenyi High school. Hajji Iddi Basajabalaba, Nicholas Ndyakiira Ekinayorovu, His Worship the mayor Richard Byaruhanga Katerane and many others.
