Chris Obore addressed the growing unease among exhibitors at the Uganda Parliament Exhibition regarding Speaker Anita Among’s silence on certain matters in a recent video interview on X. Obore, while acknowledging the discomfort among exhibitors, emphasized that the Speaker is not obliged to address every rumor. He drew an analogy, likening the Speaker’s role to that of a German Shepherd at home, implying that it’s not necessary for the Shepherd to bark at every passing concern.

Moreover, Obore revealed that he had been given the authority by the Speaker to speak on their behalf. In his own words, he stated, “I am the German Shepherd to bark.” This statement suggests that he sees himself as the authorized voice to address concerns and respond to queries on behalf of the Speaker.

The reaction on Twitter varied, with individuals expressing diverse opinions.
