Preview: David Obua’s URA Visit Express
URA coach David Obua takes his side to Express at Wankulukuku in search for maximum points.
The Tax Collectors come into this fixture on the back of a four-game winless run, the side lost their previous game, a 2-0 loss against KCCA.
Obua returns to Express, a side he played for in 2001/2002 before a successful stint abroad including a spell at Hearts of Scotland.
“Express is one of my favourite teams, it’s going to be good for me to go back to a home that I love and I will always love and cherish,” Obua said.
“I expect both good and bad reception, but Express are like Kaizer Chiefs to me, they will still be part of me.”
On team preparations, Obua revealed: “We have prepared well, we can’t wait for the game to get underway. We have had disappointing results recently but we have to play good football and win.”
“We want to win, we need this win to close the gap. I was telling the boys to be brave and hungry. We are not supposed to be in position where we are now, we are supposed to be title contenders.”
Express on the other hand, sit two points below URA and Baker Mbowa’s side can leapfrog URA with a win.
