In a matter of a few tweets, the powerful PLU Secretary General David Kabanda managed to expose the fallibilities of some of the big political men who Ugandans have always taken to be very powerful, if not invincible.
These include Sheema MP Dickson Kateshumbwa who Kabanda warned to stop undermining PLU and Gen MK or else prepare for his political funeral.
Within no time, Kateshumbwa, who had already witnessed the total obliteration of his bread winner Anita Among in such a short time, sued for peace and pleaded with Kabanda not to accelerate his political destruction.
Kateshumbwa denied claims that he had always despised PLU by calling it pilao which means rice and called on Kabanda not to create enemy where non actually exists. Kabanda disregarded Kateshumbwa and implored him to never pretend to be his friend because he has never been his comrade as the Sheema MP was claiming.
The stinking rich Kateshumbwa, who is among those who ate in Among’s palm always, begged Kabanda not to set him up for Tripple A-like obliteration.
Not done, Kabanda identified the bulky Emanuel Ddombo as the man to be bullied next. He posted something, a teaser, while demanding to know why Ddombo was out to undermine his authority as PLU SG.
Ddombo immediately came to the comments section crawling while calling on Kabanda to spare him from the predictable political destruction.
Ddombo pleaded for mercy begging the Kasambya County MP to forgive him in case he has ever wronged him.
All this happened after Kabanda had deflated the loud-mouthed Masaka City Woman MP Justin Namere after the two had taken days quarreling like village co-wives on social media.
Gen MK had also weighed in making it clear that whoever antagonizes Kabanda will have declared war on him as CDF and people in the entire PLU universe.
Similar solidarity had happened when Kabanda clashed with Frank Gashumba and this got everybody to realize that any fight with Kabanda will automatically attract the wrath of Gen MK.
As Kabanda destroyed both Ddombo and Kateshumbwa, journalist Timothy Kalyegira weighed in by predicting that the current online war had made things resemble the 1980-1985 political chaos Kampala witnessed on the eve of the July 1985 Coup detat which culminated into the end of the second UPC government.
People in the PLU online army wasted no time and within no time Kalyegira had already been given his food and put it his rightful place.
The MK online warriors warned him against assuming self-importance and also dismissed him for being a pseudo intellectual whose head they said is full of porridge instead of brains.
Kalyegira didn’t waste time pushing back because he was clearly outnumbered. What he did was to keep quiet while lying low like an envelope as Tamale Mirundi used to advise.
