In a statement, KTB explained that the collaboration seeks to establish a strong and positive association between Kenya and its renowned athletics culture, which holds a significant place in global athletics.

The ITB Berlin expo is anticipated to draw over 10,000 exhibitors and attract 160,000 visitors, solidifying its position as the premier travel trade show globally.

Expressing his excitement for the partnership, Omanyala, who recently competed in the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, stated, “Through this partnership, I hope to not only promote Kenya as an ideal travel destination but also inspire others to explore the experiences our nation has to offer.”

Although Omanyala finished fourth in the 60 meters final, his participation marked a historic achievement for Kenya in indoor sprints, showcasing the country’s prowess in athletics on the global stage.

As part of the collaboration, Omanyala will engage in various promotional activities, including interacting with potential visitors, participating in meet-and-greet sessions, and contributing to panel discussions. He will also share his firsthand experiences, including visits to iconic destinations like the Maasai Mara, highlighting Kenya’s diverse attractions to a worldwide audience.
