Kinyara Sugar Limited has renewed its premium shirt sponsorship of Kitara FC in a two-year agreement worth Shs300 million, extending its partnership with the Bunyoro-based club ahead of the 2026/27 football season.
Kinyara Sugar served as Kitara’s main shirt sponsor last season, during which the club won the Stanbic Uganda Cup, earning qualification for the Caf Confederation Cup.
The renewed sponsorship agreement was signed by Kinyara Sugar Chief Executive Ravi Ramalingam on behalf of the company and witnessed by Company Secretary Alfred Stanley Odong.
Also present at the signing ceremony were Kinyara’s Agriculture Manager Senthil Kumar, Human Resource Manager Moses Kabira and Public Relations Officer Francis Mugerwa.
Kitara was represented by its Chief Executive Joshua Atugonza, while Deputy Chief Executive Timothy Kato witnessed the signing.
Club captain Jasper Baguma, Public Relations Officer Geoffrey Tumwesige and Events Manager Andrew Kaahwa Mega also attended the ceremony.
Speaking during the event, Ramalingam congratulated Kitara FC on its recent success and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to the partnership.
“We welcome you to Kinyara, and we congratulate you upon winning the Stanbic Uganda Cup for the second time,” Ramalingam said.
“We are pleased to renew our sponsorship for Kitara FC in the spirit of continuity of the relationship between both parties.”
Kinyara Sugar said its support for Kitara FC forms part of its broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which focuses on sports development, road construction and maintenance, healthcare, education, environmental sustainability, agricultural extension services and support for religious institutions.
Atugonza thanked Kinyara Sugar for its continued confidence in the club, saying the partnership has strengthened Kitara’s competitiveness on and off the pitch.
“Thank you for entrusting us with your logo. We have worked together to win the Uganda Cup twice. We are going to carry your logo on our jerseys as we compete in the Caf Confederation Cup. We are grateful for this partnership and sponsorship,” Atugonza said.
Kitara have already resumed training in preparation for the 2026/27 season and has begun unveiling new signings as it seeks to strengthen its squad for both domestic competitions and its CAF Confederation Cup campaign.
