After suffering a demoralizing defeat at the hands of KCCA Leopards, the Magic Stormers are determined to bounce back as they face Nabisunsa in the National Basketball League on Wednesday at the Lugogo Indoor Arena.

The Stormers endured a crushing 88-36 loss against KCCA Leopards in a lackluster display on Sunday at YMCA court, where they sorely missed the guidance of head coach John Omondi.

Prior to that, they narrowly clinched a victory against YMCA Lady Hamstars with a slim 54-51 win at Abja Parks in Naalya on Saturday.

Despite boasting talent like Kur Ajah and Daphine Adong, who have been consistent scorers for the team – averaging double digits, the Stormers have struggled to find their rhythm this season, suffering six defeats in nine games.

Their upcoming opponents, Nabisunsa, have had a challenging season themselves, securing only one win against Kampala University with a score of 59-49. They have faltered in their other seven games, often starting strong but fading as the matches progress.

Less should be asked from the Nabisunsa’s roster that was depleted before the start of the season after the departure of key players, including Tamasha Nsubuga, who joined reigning champions JKL Lady Dolphins.

And their sole aim will be to avoid relegation this campaign.

With only three games left in the first round, Nabisunsa faces tough challenges against last year’s finalists, KIU Rangers and JKL Lady Dolphins. However, they see the clash against Magic Stormers as a prime opportunity to secure their second win of the season.
