Police in Kassanda district have arrested and detained a man suspected of killing his wife on suspicion of her being a cheater.
The arrested man was identified as Tuesday Venansio, 41, a resident of Lusaana village in Kassanda subcounty, Kassanda district. According to police investigations, Christine Nakibeyu left home at night to visit but could not return home.
It is alleged that around 5am Venansio decided to chase the woman, and it is understood that they met on the way, Venansio stabbed Nakibeyu Christine in the head, who died while being taken to hospital.
Tuesday Venansio was arrested and is being held in Kassanda police custody.
Wamala Regional Police Spokesperson Rachael Kawala urged couples to always control their temper, and urged them to use the authorities to resolve any disputes they may have in their homes.
