The education institutions in the country offering the New Lower Secondary School Curriculum (NLSC) have been working in suspense on how the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will conduct the final assessment of the Senior Four candidates after passing out the old curriculum.

UNEB has however responded to the situation by releasing the sample papers for the the Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) End of Cycle Competency Based Assessment under the New Lower Secondary School Curriculum.

According to UNEB Executive Director, Dan Odongo, the purpose of the sample papers is to expose both teachers and learners to the question format of Competency Based Assessment (CBA).

Odongo says each sample paper has a corresponding scoring guide.

“The sample papers can now be accessed via the UNEB portal by all UNEB Examination Centres. UNEB will distribute hard copy booklets to schools without Centre Numbers,” he said through a press release issued on Monday.
