UPDF, Gaddafi End in Stalemate in Bombo

Baker Buyala put the visitors ahead at halftime, but Vuni Bright Joseph equalized in the second half.

This point is significant for Gaddafi FC in their battle against relegation, while UPDF will lament missed opportunities.

The Soldier Boys have now earned four points against their military counterparts, having won 2-1 in the previous encounter.

Gaddafi FC surprised with an early lead in the 13th minute, courtesy of Buyala’s close-range finish from Ssengendo Sharif’s cross.

Just two minutes into the second half, Vuni leveled the score by heading home a delivery from Hussein Zzinda.

The hosts had a chance to snatch a late winner, but Achumu Faridi Rashid failed to capitalize with the goalkeeper at his mercy.

UPDF remains second from the bottom in the standings with 17 points, while Gaddafi FC climbs above Busoga United to 13th place with 19 points.

Next, UPDF FC will visit Mbarara City at the Kakyeka Ground on the 26th, while Gaddafi FC will host SC Villa at the Gaddafi Arena on the 25th.
