Denis Musali, the association’s Head of Communication, confirmed this decision, stating that the national cricket teams of the Netherlands, Nepal, and Namibia will be participating in this mini-tournament.

Musali highlighted the significance of this Quadrangular event, emphasizing its role in aiding Uganda’s preparations for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, scheduled to be held in the United States and the West Indies. He expressed optimism that competing against these three teams, who are also slated to participate in the World Cup, will provide valuable experience and help Uganda’s team refine their skills for the global tournament.

Looking ahead to the T20 World Cup, Uganda finds itself placed in Group C, alongside formidable opponents such as Papua New Guinea, Afghanistan, New Zealand, and West Indies. This placement underscores the challenging competition that awaits Uganda on the international stage.

Meanwhile, the Netherlands and Nepal are positioned in Group D, alongside cricketing powerhouses Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and South Africa. Similarly, Namibia finds itself in Group B, alongside Australia, England, Scotland, and Oman. These groupings highlight the diverse array of opponents that teams will face during the World Cup, showcasing the competitive nature of the tournament.
